Saco Search Called Off

SACO (NEWS CENTER) -- Authorities have called off a search in Saco,after determining that the report of a missing child was unfounded.

It started when employees of the city's Parks and RecreationDepartment saw a young child ride in on the tricycle at around 9:30Friday morning. There were no adults with the boy.

A short time later, the boy was gone, but the tricycle and helmetwere still there.

Officials were concerned that the child wandered off into thewoods, or even fell into the river.

After searching for several hours and canvassing the neighborhood,police determined that there is no missing child. NEWS CENTER
